THE ADMISSION PROCESS OF THE CANDIDATE

The prerequisites for a candidate to be admitted refer to their conduct norms towards the community to which they belong, and the acceptance of admission is primarily dependent on the candidate’s statement of reasons why they wish to become a Mason. Therefore, at the time of filling out the admission proposal, it is expected that the candidate is sincere to their own conscience.

IS THERE AN EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT TO JOIN THE MASONRY?

For the Lodge to be complete and balanced, it is good to preserve the diversity of professions and cultural levels among its members, so a specific educational degree is not required for admission. However, the individual should have proficiency in reading texts, considering that the instructions are also transmitted through writing.

DOES MASONRY REQUIRE OBLIGATIONS TO BE FULFILLED?

When initiated into Masonry, the citizen must assume commitments, as in any human association, that reflect their responsible choice. This will occur through the commitment to study with an open mind the Masonic instructions, as well as to consider confidential the teachings received and to contribute financially to the maintenance of their Lodge. In short, there will be commitments as in any human association.

DOES MASONRY ADDRESS THE RELIGIOUS ASPECT?

Yes! It addresses the religious aspect because it recognizes the existence of a single creating, regulating, absolute, supreme, and infinite principle which it calls the GREAT ARCHITECT OF THE UNIVERSE.
However, Masonry does not have the pretension of taking the place of religion in the lives of Masons. To be a member of Masonry, the citizen must profess a firm belief in God, enjoy a good reputation, and have an unblemished conduct, regardless of their religious beliefs. By being a good member of their religion, they will possibly be a good Mason, and learn how to cultivate moral virtues in their daily life, live under the Fatherhood of God, the Brotherhood of men, and the Immortality of the Soul in their Lodge.

FEMALE PARTICIPATION

Universal Freemasonry, which admits men, has as one of its fundamental principles the practice of the first of virtues: HUMAN SOLIDARITY. In this aspect, it counts on valuable female participation, as the family is never left out of Masonic activities.
Thus, there are several Masonic associations for ladies, such as the Order of the Acacias, the Order of the Rainbow, and the International Order of Job’s Daughters, which develop social activities and their own rituals, in order to bring together young women between the ages of 11 and 19, in the development of their talents, qualities, and leadership potential.
The Order of the Eastern Star is intended for Master Masons, their wives, and adult women, in which young women who have completed their studies in the Rainbow Assemblies and Job’s Daughters’ Bethels continue their studies.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP?

We are convinced that upon entering Freemasonry, one ceases to be an ordinary human being and we believe that everyone will enjoy the real benefits of an institution whose moral and ethical principles have withstood the test of time. Freemasonry is above all a way of life and is always concerned with the family, with kindness at home, with honesty in business, with good social posture, with pleasure in work, with piety and sincere concern for the unfortunate, with help for the weak, with forgiveness for the penitent, with love of neighbor, and above all, with reverence for God.
Our doors are always open to welcome the family members of the Mason, and our hearts are always focused on their quality of life. Through the new member of the Order, who is a member of their family, or through the Worshipful Master of their Lodge, we are always willing to assist and help them.
